Cast-Still life

Following the exercises in the Cours de Dessin by Charles Bargue, in collaboration with Jean-Léon Gérôme, students in this program begin their studies with the copy of Bargue plates and casts by following the study of the great classical masters.

Characteristics

  • Being a Cast/Still-Life part-time student  implies that you will work the same exercises that intensive course students, but you will be able to work according to your availability and financial situation.
  • The availability of places is limited and the days chosen by each student must be fixed in the registration form.
  • No flexibility allowed after the term has begun. Missing classes cannot be made up (except absences due to extreme cases).
  • Part-time students shall choose:

· the days of the week they want to book: Cast/Still-Life: from 1-4 days /week.
· the duration of their studies: minimum time of registration = 1 quarter [3 months].

  • Intensive programs students may join the course at the beginning of a period [October-January-March]. See school calendar.
  • Applications are only accepted online [forms on the websites of each course] or filling out the form at the Academy.
  • Places will be assigned following a strict order of received applications.
  • When the groups are full, extra applications received will be part of the reservation list.
  • Maximum period for submission of applications:

Fall term: July 31
Winter term: November 30
Spring term: February 28

  • Once admitted the student will be asked to confirm his/her place with a non-refundable deposit (by bank transfer) which corresponds to 10 % of the total fee of his/her course.
  • The remaining tuition fee will be paid on the dates indicated in the confirmation e-mail.
  • Failure to pay the non-refundable deposit will automatically leave the place available for a student in the reservation list.
