Financial Aid and Scholarships

BAA Scholarships

Bases

The Barcelona Academy of Art offers more than 60.000€ per year in the form of scholarships only for full-time students who pass the approval of the Academy’s directive board. The students will have to perform specific tasks to obtain the economic benefit.

The grants will consist of a discount on the total course.

These discounts will only be available when the number of students enrolled is greater than 10.

Deadlines for applications to scholarships

The deadline for submitting the completed form will end 6 weeks before the beginning of each term.

Criteria and conditions

  • Scholarships are valid only during an assigned period of time and students must apply again in the succeeding terms / academic years.
  • We do not offer full scholarships. Therefore, applicants must ensure that they have reliable access to other financial resources to cover any financing shortfall.
  • Our grants are intended as a contribution to the costs of the course. We do not contemplate transportation coverage or international debts. We do not contribute to the expenses of dependent family members (spouses, partners, children), academic course materials or living expenses.

Participation

At the end of each academic year, the Barcelona Academy of Art will send the scholarship application form to all those students enrolled in a full-time regular course who have confirmed their place with the payment of the non-refundable deposit.

The scholarships will be assigned to the selected students before the beginning of each term.

IMPORTANT

No form will be sent to:

  • Students not enrolled in the full-time modality.
  • Students who have not made the payment of the non-refundable deposit.

Decision of the directive board

The direction committee of the Barcelona Academy of Art will meet to assess the candidacies and designate the responsibilities of the students who will receive financial aid.

The Administration Department will contact the students to communicate the decision.

The decision of the Barcelona Academy of Art will be irrefutable.

Evaluation system

Students will be evaluated according to their economic need, level of dedication in their studies, general performance, attitude, and willingness to contribute to the Barcelona Academy of Art community in a positive manner.

Priority will be given to:

• Veteran students with excellent academic records.
• Veteran students with good academic records who did not receive a scholarship in the previous year.
• Students enrolled in an intensive 9-month course.

ATTENTION

Providing false information may result in the revocation of the initial decision to grant a scholarship to the student. Any student who presents false documents, makes false statements or does not disclose all relevant information will not receive a grant this year or in the future.

Any situation not foreseen in these rules will be resolved by the Barcelona Academy of Art.
